The 2.7 and 3.0 V6 diesels in the Discovery 3 and 4, the Sport and the later L322 can spin a bearing and break the crankshaft, which is an engine out job and the single largest bill these vehicles produce. The early signs are low oil pressure warnings, a knock at idle and metal in the oil. These packages rebuild the engine properly with the revised parts, rather than dropping in a used engine with the same history.
