A winch is rated for straight line pulling, and the rule we work to is a winch rated at one and a half times the gross vehicle weight, because mud, gradient and a bogged vehicle all multiply the load. Every package here is sized to the vehicle rather than to the box, with a bumper tested to carry the winch, the correct cable or synthetic rope, and the wiring and isolator to run it safely. The Discovery 2 is the Td5 era, with self levelling rear air on some cars and ACE active roll control on others, and both matter when you order suspension.

Fitting
